Common Questions About Yoga Therapy Sessions

What’s the different between yoga and yoga therapy?

Yoga classes at a local studio are likely focused on the physical practice and created to support the general public, whereas yoga therapy sessions are specifically curated to your unique constitution and integrate deeper aspects of yoga including breath work, movement, meditation, lifestyle, and spiritual philosophy.

What materials do I need for sessions?

All you need to get started are an internet connection for your virtual visit (scheduled above under "services") and a private space that you feel comfortable in. Yoga mat and props are highly recommended, but not required. Commonly used supportive props include yoga blocks (2-3), woven/wool blankets (1-3), a yoga bolster, and a strap. My personal favorite brand is Manduka.

Do I need to be experienced for these sessions?

No experience is necessary. An open and curious mind are the only prerequisites!
